You could say construction and design is in my blood. My grandpa was a local home builder and so was my dad. I’ve always been interested in design, layouts, blueprints and such. I spent hours pouring over the blueprints for the houses my dad built, as well as the books that he had in his office with all of the house plans in them. When my sister got married, my mom allowed me to redecorate my room…off to antique stores, wallpaper stores, and the like.

Fast forward through college: I landed my first design job at a local commercial interior design company where I was able to jump head first into multiple projects in hospitality, healthcare, and office design. After 7+ years in commercial design I went to work for a local lumber yard in their kitchen and bath design department. It was there that my passion for residential design flourished. I loved helping my customers select the finishes for their projects, getting into the minute details of cabinetry design, pulling it all together with flooring and backsplash materials. I eventually started helping customers with so many more design decisions: windows, doors, trim details and exterior selections.

After having my first daughter I realized I wanted to focus more on the overall project design for my customers rather than just on the cabinetry details. Enter Swatch Interior Concepts. Over the past few years I have been able to work with such wonderful clients, many of whom have become good friends. I have had the privilege of designing spaces that make a home for the people living there, and I’ve also been able to expand my services into the commercial world. It has been a dream and I owe full thanks to God.
